Technical requirements and procedure in the powder coating process

Pre-treatment of the substrate

The metal surface is first cleaned and degreased to ensure optimum adhesion. Depending on the metal used, mechanical or chemical pre-treatments are used. For example, phosphating or sandblasting.

Powder application

The powder is sprayed onto the surface electrostatically, causing it to adhere evenly. The choice of powder is adapted to the specific requirements of the end product – for example, whether for higher temperature resistance or improved corrosion protection.

Curing
